Like New Year’s celebrations around the world, Rosh Hashanah is a time for friends, family, fun and, of course, food. Many iconic foods are part of the traditional Rosh Hashanah meal, but none of them are as universal and as beloved as apples dipped in honey.  Eating these two delicious foods together with friends and family symbolizes the hope for a sweet, healthy, and happy New Year.

It couldn’t be simpler to try this at home:

1)     Slice apples lengthwise and arrange on a plate.

2)     Drizzle honey over the apples, or just dip them in the honey and enjoy!

You can also enjoy your apples and honey with other traditional Rosh Hashanah treats, like pomegranate seeds or dates. Regardless of how you do it, have a very happy new year, or, as they say in Hebrew, Shana Tovah!
