Experience Raw food

I began to feel immediate effects of taking pure, organic fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, green powders, juices and herbs everyday.

The difference it made could be felt through a transformation of different kinds of health issues I had before, such as poor circulation, period pains and tiredness. The previously severe monthly pain and cramps totally decreased.

I have never used pharmaceutical drugs for anything as I trust nature and have found excellent natural alternatives. I suddenly realised that as my body has become alkaline, any pain now moves through and out much quicker and at a smoother rate. Of course, other things such as Yoga and Deep breathing accelerate this healing.


Habits can be changed

I felt so good eating raw that the increase of goodness meant more energy and an awareness of not-so-good food choices and their overall affect on me. Habits of choosing junk, fried/processed and sugary foods have usually been created over a long time. They need to be recognized as one part of the unraveling of one’s journey towards a deeper balance and clarity of being, that is one’s birth right.

Learning to listen to what my body was asking for became a part of going fully raw. Sugary and fatty foods are craved when there are extra pressures or stresses in one’s lifestyle. Many turn to bread-type products since the gluten content in wheat has an opiate effect on the stomach/body. But if one ‘stops using’ these types of unhealthy fats/sugars while looking out for more effective choices like learning to relax and unwind, it can help with long term stress and strain.

The thing I really value with cleansing and healing from eating pure food is the increase and depth of intuition that I feel now. This is the body wisdom that we as a society have lost or forgotten. The constant bombardment of toxins and negative distractions from junk food to TV, violent media and chemicals in household goods and cosmetics, clothes etc. takes us away from our balance; that our innate body wisdom can be heard, felt and lived as an experience.


What to expect if you increase raw food in your life

Starting with a fruity breakfast or taking the plunge to having two raw meals a day, you are sure to notice many things; and yet it’s an individual journey for each person embarking on the Raw Food path. Depending on your current intake of particular foods, there will be a different experience of detoxification. When one suddenly takes in fresh wholesome foods the not-so-fresh build-up of toxic materials hanging around the body in the cells eventually comes out and may cause flu-like symptoms. Headaches, tiredness, a need for more sleep as well as aches and pains can all be experienced. When this happens, increasing your consumption of fluids and adequate rest is helpful.


Know that the fruits of well-being, the juice of aliveness and the clean, pure feeling can be enhanced, induced and created by making conscious, lifestyle choices that empower and encourage positivism.
