I Say Organic is a social enterprise which believes in giving people the option of eating safe food (grown without toxic chemicals and pesticides), while recognizing and supporting farmers who grow this food.
We partner with producer companies and connect farmers who want to grow organic with customers who want to buy organic.
In December 2011, I Say Organic partnered with its first farmer group, Dharani Suphalam in Sirsa, Harayana, and since March 2012 we have been delivering fresh organic produce all across Delhi. We believe in making organic produce easily and conveniently available, as easy as making a phone call.
I Say Organic grew out of a need to start at the beginning, at the root of the problem. We started with thinking about inclusive and sustainable development and realized it was important to begin with food and the people who grow it for us. In India, agriculture is a source of livelihood for more than 70% of the population, making it the foundation for economic development of our country.
The larger goal at I Say Organic is to make food production more sustainable so we can grow safe and healthy to feed everyone in the country. In urban centres, our efforts are focused towards creating a convenient and affordable service for delivering fresh, safe and healthy food straight from the farm to your plate. On the other end, for rural development, we want farming to regain the respect it once had and become a profitable livelihood option.
We believe that everyone has the right to safe food that is grown with lots of love and care. We encourage people to know more about where their food comes from, who grows it and how.
At I Say Organic, we are always looking for opportunities to collaborate and extend our I Say Organic network of farmers to include new and varied organic produce.
